The Amazing Race

Psalm 138: 7-8 7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will reach out with Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, And Your right hand will save me. 8  The Lord will accomplish what concerns me; Your faithfulness, Lord, is everlasting; Do not abandon the works of Your hands.

Oh God, Your love for us is far beyond our human imagination and ability to understand. Your love is that of a Father who has boundless desire, power and capacity to care for His children. And it is because of Your loyal, true and everlasting love that we can take courage during every trying circumstance that comes our way. Lord, You are always near to the broken-hearted. Though we may feel alone and defeated by challenges in life, we are not - because You are with us. You are closer than we realize; giving us courage, ensuring our victory and providing us hope. Lord, we are never outside of Your reach.

Gracious God, You walk with us through times of despair. And You make paths through our wilderness experiences; all the time reminding us that we belong to You. You created the world and everything in it, so You have no shortage of power.  You are the Sovereign God who counts the stars and calls them by their names. Lord, if You can remember and identify each star among the millions, there is no danger of You forgetting Your children. Holy God, You love us so much that You sent Your only begotten Son to live without sin in this world filled with sin; die a sinner’s death on our behalf; and get up from the grave on the third day with our eternal salvation in His hands.  Lord, there is none like You.

Thank You for understanding our struggles and comforting us with Your loving care. Thank You for reassuring us that no matter what we see in the coming year; You are our faithful, sovereign God who will never leave or forsake us. Lord, You are all we need.  Glory!   In Jesus Name we pray. Amen!
